Fear of Hunger
Nurses and CRNAs have some occupational related fears of being hungry. We've been in situations where we haven't eaten (or peed) for 12 hours and our brains remember that. At the time it was uncomfortable, so we've developed habits of eating when we are not hungry to avoid being hungry... For a lot of us, that creates the result of a weight we would rather not have. In this episode we delve into how this thought pattern and habit isn't serving us, how we can approach hunger differently and give you tools to work together with your body to easily manage hunger for the long term. These tips and tools will serve you as nurses, advanced practice nurses, moms, and CRNAs moving forward, you will never be afraid of hunger again.
